COLORS OF THE CENTURY

The objective of this project was to create promotional materials for an art exhibition featuring an artist of our choice.  I chose to focus on the work of Carlos Cruz-Diez, his paintings typically feature repeated, colorful dynamic lines that interact with one another, creating the illusion of movement.

My exhibition is titled “Colors of The Century,” which serves as a tribute to Cruz-Diez. To ensure a cohesive design for this project, I digitally recreated one of his artworks, integrating its distinctive color palette throughout the entire project.

How did I digitally recreate his art style?

To recreate his art style, I made long, narrow triangles and trapezoids in different colors. I grouped them with black lines on the right and left sides and duplicated them.

After duplicating, I used the blend tool, repeating the lines 20-40 times based on size. Then, I duplicated my grouped graphics and tried out different design ideas.
