ÑOMI

Packaging Design / Brand Identity

THE BRIEF

In a packaging design class, students were tasked with creating a brand identity and packaging system across three distinct formats. The brand had to feel personal, reflecting the designer’s background, interests, or identity, and be applied consistently across all packaging types.

THE OBJECTIVE

To create a cookie brand that feels warm, fun, and deeply personal. As baking is my main hobby, the goal was to build a brand that reflects that passion while incorporating cultural roots through language and tone. The identity needed to feel homemade yet polished, and work cohesively across three different packaging formats.

DESIGN STRATEGY

I named the brand ÑOMI as a casual, Spanglish-inspired take on the word “yummy.” It felt simple, direct, and personal. The visual system is built around a few consistent elements, a bold logo, dotted background, and white ribbons around the cookies. The ribbons serve as a subtle reference to a gift or something intentionally made to be shared.
